WARWICK — Still carrying on the spirit of the Warwick Sesquicentennial events, all Village residents are invited to participate in “Scare the Mayor,” the first annual Halloween decorating contest.
To participate, residents should contact the Village Hall by calling 986-2031 to let the Village know that they would like to register for the contest.
On “Mischief Night” on Monday, Oct. 30, all participants will get a visit from Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and the Kid Mayor Daniel Alquezada Madero who will judge the ghouls and ghosts who scare them the most.
Prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-places or runner up.
So string those purple and orange lights with care, spread cobwebs as far as they can bare, creepy skulls and candy corn too, anything spooky really will do. The Mayor and Kid Mayor anticipate the delights from all the scary frights and they look forward to celebrating the best that residents can offer.
