Santa visits local martial arts school

WARWICK — You might think a martial arts school would be a strange place for Santa to come and visit but on Saturday, Dec. 9, Santa came to have breakfast at United Martial Arts Centers from 9 to 11 a.m.
More than 100 people enjoyed pancakes, hot cocoa and coffee prepared by the UMAC students who volunteered.
Following their breakfast all the good little boys and girls (and some adults) were invited to have their picture taken with Santa.
A professional photographer was on hand to take picture and then email to the guests. A donation of $10 was requested and 100 percent of the funds are being donated to the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Glen Dickes the director of the Food Pantry was on hand for the festivities and also had his picture taken with Santa.
“We are grateful for all that United Martial Arts Centers continues to do for the food pantry and for the community,” Dickes said. “We are also happy to see the love that Grand Master Ciarfella and Master Teresa Ciarfella have put into the restoration of this beautiful building.”
