GREENWOOD LAKE — Last July, Jamie Hannoushe and her cousin Joseph Hannoushe celebrated the grand opening of their new restaurant, the Hawelo Mediterranean Grill, a Middle Eastern specialty restaurant, at 160 Windermere Ave. in Greenwood Lake.

Jamie Hannoushe, a resident of Greenwood Lake, was born in the United States but her parents emigrated from Lebanon and after many years of cooking Mediterranean food at home, specifically Lebanese style, she had decided it was time to share it with the public.

During that ribbon-cutting ceremony, Hannoushe also mentioned that she had been in the beauty salon and barbershop business and was thinking of opening another shop in Greenwood Lake.

And she just did.
On Thursday, Dec. 4, Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer and members of the Greenwood Lake and Warwick Valley chambers of commerce joined owners Jamie Hannoushe and her cousin and partner Charlie Bechara along with family members and friends to celebrate the grand opening of Cuts and Styles by Salon Marwan.

The new salon and barbershop is located at 130 Windermere Ave.

"After closing my previous shop, Stream Line Cuts, I decided to re-open a year and a half later and this time I have a partner, my cousin," said Hannoushe. "This new shop is a whole other level of salon/barbershop. We will offer Brazilian waxing, eyebrow threading, full service barber for men, straight razor shaves, manicures, keratin and much more."
