Rotarians donate to Winslow

WARWICK — Members of the Warwick Valley Rotary Club have long supported Winslow Therapeutic Center’s Healing with Horses programs with their money and their volunteer efforts.
Winslow provides therapeutic horseback riding for more than 500 children with mental and physical disabilities and partners with Helen Hayes Hospital for additional rehabilitation programs.
Warwick Rotary President John Buckley recently presented a $3,500 donation to Jennifer Caffrey, barn manager, and Sue Ferro, Winslow executive director. Assisting in the presentation and program was Rotary District 7210 Governor Bill Bassett, who spoke of the goals and achievements of the 64-club, eight county New York district and the 33,000-club Rotary International service organization.
Bassett praised Warwick’s Rotarians for their ongoing support of local, district and international humanitarian projects.
Several Warwick Rotarians have served as members of the Winslow Board of Directors, including Jini Mazza Loomis, Winslow co-founder; Leo Kaytes, Winslow Board president; John Buckley, Winslow Board vice-president; Frank Truatt, Ed Lynch and Roger Gibboni.
