Riehle Opticians celebrates 25th anniversary
WARWICK — On Oct. 4, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Anthony and Laurie Riehle and their staff to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Riehle Opticians.
The firm, located at 36 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in the Merchant Square Mall just off Kings Highway, was established in 1987. The well-stocked office offers professional eye exams and a large selection of eyewear, contact lenses and accessories.
Anthony Riehle began his optical career at his family’s optical practice, DJ Riehle Opticians, Inc., in Middletown, which was established in 1962.
He is a Master Optician, applying the combination of art and science to optics and also a New York State Licensed Contact Lens Practitioner, specializing in custom contact lens fitting.
Laurie Glebocki Riehle is a New York State Licensed Optician, and combined with her knowledge of optics and excellent sense for fashion, she has developed the Riehle Opticians make over experience for women and men.
Professional staff
They’re joined by a large staff including New York State Opticians: Lilly L. Beaty and Michele Flood and Doctors of Optometry: George Zikos, Carol Phelan, and Matthew Winkler along with administrative assistant Christy Karas, lab technician Jim Beaty and medical biller Helaine Turselli.
Anthony and Laurie Riehle frequently attend international vision trade shows for continuing education and to preview the cutting edge of fashion and technology in the optical industry.
Trade shows and special events for the debuts of exclusive eyewear design are also hosted by Riehle Opticians throughout the year.
Selection and variety
Riehle Opticians enjoys an excellent reputation for their selection of eyewear ranging from high-end luxury designers such as Tiffany and Company, Dolce and Gabanna, Gucci, Bulgari, to the more exclusive designers Alain Mikli, Oliver Peoples, Dita, La Font and Bevel among others.
The company is known for expert eye makeovers and clientele come from the entire tri-state area and beyond.

Riehle Opticians is open Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
