Repair Café returns to Warwick

WARWICK — Need help fixing a broken lamp, bike, wooden bowl or another household item?
Repair coaches are on the way and will be at the Warwick Senior Center, 132 Kings Highway on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Not only are the repair coaches clever at fixing things, but their help is free, and the list of items they fix keeps growing. You can now bring in your broken jewelry, banjos and guitars in addition to mechanical and electrical items, things wooden, clothing, textiles, soft toys and bikes (excluding gears and derailleurs).
John Wackman, coordinator for all Hudson Valley/Catskill Repair Cafes, will be sitting in this Saturday, to make repairs to wood things.
The repair coaches also offer a knife and tool sharpening service. And bring the kids along so they can tinker at the adult-supervised Kids-Take-Apart-Table.
There is a limit of two items per person. Although the repair is free, there is a cost for lamp and bike replacement parts. Please bring a non-perishable donation for the local food pantry.
