Regional Economic Development Council awarded $3.1 million to 99th Assembly District

    Round XI (11) of the Regional Economic Development Council process will bring $3.1M in state funding to the 99th Assembly District, Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt (R,C,I,LBT,SAM - New Windsor) announced.

    The full list of awardees and grants benefiting the 99th District is as follows:

    Abilities First, Inc., was awarded $300,000 for school expansion, allowing for renovation for new technologically advanced classrooms.

    Storm King Art Center was awarded $600,000 for a capital project, allowing for two new buildings.

    The Town of Cornwall was awarded $100,000 for a Firthcliffe Heights and Beaverdam Lake inflow and infiltration study, allowing for an engineering report to pinpoint sources of inflow and infiltration to improve wastewater collection.

    The Town of New Windsor was awarded $100,000 for an inflow and infiltration study allowing for an engineering report to recognize sources of inflow and infiltration to improve wastewater collection.

    The Town of Wawayanda was awarded $30,000 for the Robin Meadows STP Disinfection Project to evaluate disinfection alternatives for the town’s wastewater treatment system.

    Storm King Art Center will be awarded an additional $2,000,000 for the Storm King Art Center capital project to enhance the experience of residents and visitors.
