WARWICK — This year’s candidate for one seat on the Albert Wisner Public Library Board of Trustees is incumbent Regina Wittosch.
Wittosch played an active role helping to build the new library on McFarland Drive which opened in 2009 and went on to win Library Journal’s Best Small Library in America in 2016.
She has also worked on expanding the parking lot, as well as redesigning the outdoors to allow for terraced seating and a patio for popular library programs which is completely accessible.
“It is my goal," Wittosch said, "to continue to provide the best library programs and services to our community.”
The Library Board is comprised of seven members elected by the residents of the Warwick Valley School District. Board members serve a term of five years. The positions carry no salary.
The annual library vote is scheduled for April 10 at the Library at One McFarland Drive in the Village.
The polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
In addition to one Trustee position, the proposed annual operating levy for the fiscal year 2018-2019 will be on the ballot.
Details on the vote and absentee ballot applications can be found at the library and at the library’s website www.albertwisnerlibrary.org.
