Pura Vida Art Training and Supplies celebrates grand opening
WARWICK — Pura Vida Art Training and Supplies, located at 314 Route 94 S, a short distance from the New York and New Jersey State Line, has been open for business since April 1.
On Tuesday, April 2, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owner Jeffrey Benoit and a group of students from the local Greystone Program to celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Benoit said that the Pura Vida Art Training program is designed to train artists of all skill levels, techniques and discipline that will advance their artist ability.
"It is a blend of instruction, exploration, practice and straight up fun," he said.
All programs offered are considered Multi Media.
The curriculum incorporates drawing, painting, computer graphics and much more. The belief is that there is a relationship that exists between all mediums.
Benoit is a Rhode Island native who received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island.
He is now taking his experience as an artist, corporate trainer, community servant and father to create what he describes as an absolutely awesome art experience.
"This is a curriculum based program," said Benoit, "that offers flexible learning styles for all ages and skill levels."
Pura Vida Art Training and Supplies also offers spring break programs, summer programs, weekend workshops, birthday parties and community service projects.
