Pre-Christmas Market at Pine Island Farmers Market

— The Pine Island Farmers Market, located inside the main barn at W Rogowski Farm, in Pine Island, is set for a pre-holiday market on Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market will feature local crafts and produce gift baskets that are perfect for your holiday gift giving. Get in the holiday spirit with a visit from Santa Claus and seasonal music performed by the duo, The Foxes.

Craft Vendors include Bea Bloom Pottery, Carbon Made silk scarves and graphic tees, Sweet Things honeycomb candles, as well as Corky Creations granite cutting boards and wine toppers. Produce vendors will feature wonderful holiday specials including Lowland Beef's 20/20 special - buy 20 pounds of beef, receive a 20 percent discount and receive a free reusable padded cooler bag. Black Dirt Gourmet will be showcasing an array of holiday cookies and candies, both traditional and gluten-free.

Chef Lukas Volger will demonstrate how to make veggie burgers, signing his two cookbooks, "Veggie Burgers Every Which Way" and "Vegetarian Entrees that Won't Leave You Hungry," and fielding questions about vegetarian cooking. A hearty, made-to-order breakfast will be available in the farm kitchen featuring products from the market vendors, including hot cider from Soons Orchards and biscuits and gravy featuring Snoep Winkel's breakfast sausage.

Our regular produce vendors include Acorn Hill Farmstead (goat cheese), Bobolink Dairy and Bakehouse (cheese and artisan bread), Fontanarosa's Gourmet (pasta and specialty foods), Lowland Farm (grass fed beef and pastured pork), Pazdar Winery, Pickel-Licious, Snoep Winkel Farm (grass fed chicken, lamb, pork, sausage and eggs), Sweet Things Wild Thyme (honey), and W. Rogowski Farm (certified naturally-grown produce).
