Playground build begins Monday

The Warwick Village DPW has been working hard to get the site ready for Build Week.
JDT Trucking and LKQ Transport have made the trek to Wisconsin to pick up the structural plastic lumber for the playground (even through a snowstorm).
The Village DPW off-loaded it quickly and smoothly.
Lights have been added in the playground as a security measure and Warwick Playground Dream committee would like to remind all residents that the park is considered a construction site and is closed to all, except those working on the build until its completion.
Tools
Loaned or donated tools are being collected at the park for secure storage on Friday, April, from 12 to 7 p.m.
Especially needed are 3/8" drills and 3/8" impact drills.
Local volunteer team leaders and Play By Design build consultants will be using a carefully implemented system of tools usage during Build Week to ensure that every tool is securely stored, checked in and out, and used and cleaned properly, to ensure that any items on loan are returned in the same condition that they are received.
Trees
In further development, Robert Scheuermann of RS Landscaping and Warwick’s Shade Tree Commissioner, along with Ben Jansen of E.P. Jansen’s Nursery, assisted committee members in selecting the shade trees which will be a part of the playground’s design.
The selected trees will be planted by the Village DPW toward the conclusion of Build Week.
