Pine Island Chamber seeking proposals for new Web design

PINE ISLAND — The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce is seeking proposals for its new Web site design.

The chamber’s Web site (http://www.pineislandny.com) serves as the information hub of all things Pine Island – businesses, events, attractions, chamber scholarship fund and history.

The new design will incorporate additions, such as videos that capture the heart of the Black Dirt Region, a section devoted to the Black Dirt Feast and more detailed information about member businesses’ products and services.

“The objective of these enhancements is to increase awareness of all that Pine Island has to offer,” John Redman, the chamber president, said in the press release detailing the request for proposals. “Combining a comprehensive, engaging Web site with social media connections will afford better communication with the community and visitors to this picturesque region.”
