PI chamber holiday mixer is Dec. 11

PINE ISLAND — The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce will host its annual holiday mixer on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at The Country Dream restaurant in the hamlet of Edenville.
This historical building, founded around 1850, has been owed and operated by Kenneth and Kate Henderson since 1968, who are one of the chamber’s newest members.
The mixer will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The chamber will be awarding three gifts of $500 each from part of the proceeds of The Black Dirt Feast. The Village of Florida and Greenwood Lake Food Pantries, as well as the Back Pack Snack Attack, will each receive $500 donations to help reinforce much needed supplies for those families affected by the recession and by Super Storm Sandy.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for a child or a non-perishable food item with them that evening so that the Pine Island Chamber can make an additional contribution to families in need.
