— Photographer and artist Wendy Robinson's World of Wonders will make its official debut this September at the Tuscan Café, 5 South St. in the Village of Warwick,
Tuscan Café is offering the use of its wall space and a portion from the sale of the mixed media art will go to Backpack Snack Attack, an outreach program that feeds almost 300 school children in the Town of Warwick.
The event was planned and organized by Hope Stuart, event organizer and president of H.O.P.E. DAYLEE USA, efficiency experts located at 17 River St. in Warwick.
Robinson's passion for photography started with her first film camera when she was 18. No one could have predicted that it would lead to a lifetime of capturing amazing images. As the years past, her love for photography was combined with a tremendous enthusiasm for the world of mixed media. She now spends many hours creating art that combines both mediums creating her own unique style of art.
Her work has been showcased at Summit Visual Arts, Art Etc., Highland Lakes Art Exhibit and Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council where she won first place in the Professional Photo Art show.
Robinson was also the recipient of the Mallus Photography Award and created The Great Light Way photography exhibit for the West Orange Energy Diet outreach campaign.
The Backpack Snack Attack program is available to public elementary schools in Warwick, Florida, Pine Island and Greenwood Lake.
Volunteers stuff backpacks with food for needy children to enable them to eat at home on weekends when the free breakfast and lunch meals they receive at school are not available. The backpacks, with individually sized and ready to eat or microwave ready food items are sent home with the children every Friday and returned to the schools the following Monday.
The program is run entirely by a group of volunteers and supported by donations and fund raising, such as this art show.
