Orange County will be participating in early voting

Orange County. Election Day is Nov. 3, but registered voters can cast their ballots from Oct. 24 through Nov. 1 at one of seven polling places through the county.

The Orange County Commissioners of Elections would like to inform voters that Election Day will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and poll sites throughout the county will be open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Orange County will be participating in Early Voting for the 2020 General Election. Voters will have the ability to exercise their right to vote during a nine-day period before Election Day at any of the seven locations throughout the county.

Where to vote early

The following sites will be open to process any registered voter in Orange County:

City of Newburgh Activity Center, 401 Washington St., Newburgh.

Cornwall Ambulance Building, 1 Clinton St. in the Town of Cornwall.

Middletown Senior Center, 62-70 West Main St., Middletown.

Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway in Warwick.

Village of Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge St. in Montgomery.

Delaware Engine Company #2, 22 Hammond St., Port Jervis.

Monroe Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike, Monroe.

Dates and times

Early voting will be conducted daily at the seven locations during the following dates and times:

Saturday. Oct. 24, noon to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 26, noon to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 27, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 28, noon to 8 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 29, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 30, noon to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dates to remember for the general election

The last day to register to vote is Friday, Oct. 9.

Last day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail is Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in person at the Board of Elections is Monday, Nov. 2.

Last day to return and postmark the ballot to the Board of Elections is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
