NEWBURGH — Orange County will hold its annual Fall Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at The Newburgh Mall.
“We enjoy hosting these job fairs,” Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus said in the press release announcing the event. “They provide a wonderful opportunity for job seekers to showcase their skills to a diverse group of employers and allow employers and potential employees to connect at one centralized location. Orange County appreciates the continued support from the employers participating in our job fairs and workshops.”
Approximately 55 employers and recruiters from Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan and Westchester counties will be at the Newburgh Mall to speak with potential job candidates.
Businesses that will attend the event include Access: Supports for Living, Charter Communications, Crystal Run Healthcare, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., Express Employment Professionals, Fairbanks Manufacturing, Fox Radio, Knapp Consultants, Inc., Martin-Brower, Orange County Government, St. Dominic’s Home and United Natural Foods, Inc.
The companies represent multiple sectors, including healthcare, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation, and government and will be hiring for a wide range of positions.
“Last year, approximately 850 job seekers attended the event,” said Employment and Training Administration (ETA) Director Steve Knob. “I think that’s a testament to the talent of Orange County’s workforce and the great companies that have been represented at the job fair.
