The Orange County Partnership, a nonprofit that promotes economic development in the county, welcomed two new employees: Lindsay Newler as the director of business attraction and Kaitlynn Perez as its economic development specialist.
Lindsay graduated from Indiana University with a major in Telecommunications and concentrations in Industry & Management and Media & Society. She has used her command of social media to build long-standing, trustworthy relationships with existing and potential clients and fellow team members. Lindsay has a background in real estate and has applied her talents to raise affiliate public relations and marketing strategies to a new level.
Lindsay has won both national and global marketing awards and organized and raised thousands of dollars for not-for-profits.
Maureen Halahan, president & CEO of the Partnership stated, “Lindsay’s skills, innovation and enthusiasm is what separated her from the more than 100 applications received for this position.”
Kaitlynn Perez is a lifelong resident of Orange County with extensive experience in the customer service, human resource and administrative fields. Her organizational and planning skills have fueled her success in her professional life.
Kaitlynn achieved (as a member of the Dean’s List) a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the State University of New York, New Paltz. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Johnson & Wales University with a concentration in hospitality to hone her event coordination and planning skills.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Kaitlynn worked for Orange County businesses where she excelled in cultivating client relationships, managing accounts, setting goals and team building.
According to Halahan, “I was looking for someone with a research, sales, account management and technology background who is able to interface with clients, but also conduct the necessary research to stay ahead of market trends. Kaitlynn’s prior work history prepared her for this opportunity. We are taking a full team approach to economic development. With change comes great opportunity.”
“With our new team in place, The Orange County Partnership will continue to stand out among our economic development peers by continually drawing innovative, successful companies to our region, while earning the respect of top-tiered corporate leaders and esteemed site selectors in the process,” Halahan said.
