Orange County announces 2018 municipal grants

    — The Orange County Community Development Office announced that the 2018 Municipal Grants, funded by the Community Development Block Program have now been awarded.
    “We are proud to partner with the Federal Government to obtain these important funds for our communities,” Neuhaus said. “These grants will allow critical infrastructure projects to move forward," Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus said in the press release announcing the grants, "and I am pleased that we are able to support our local partners through the CDBG program.”
    Added Community Development Director Richard Mayfield: “During these times of fiscal restraint we know every dollar is vital to strengthening our local communities.”
    The Community Development Block Grant program enables states and local governments to undertake a wide variety of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide affordable housing, and generate economic opportunities.
