On the road again WARWICK. Schervier Pavilion residents enjoy car show.

On Saturday, June 22, the residents of Schervier Pavilion had an opportunity to enjoy visiting the vintage automobiles that they may have owned or admired years ago.
Schervier Pavilion is a skilled nursing facility on the Warwick Campus of Bon Secours Charity Health System, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
Director of Admissions Betty Tiedemann, her husband, George, and his friend Gary Panarotto had arranged for classic car owners to bring their prize-winning automobiles to the Schervier Pavilion parking lot.
And with the assistance and cooperation of Director of Recreation Kari Call, residents were able to view the cars and discuss their features with the owners.
“Therapeutic recreation is essential to the quality of life and the quality of care of individuals receiving health and human services,” said Call, a certified therapy recreation specialist.
Her job is to provide recreation resources and opportunities for the residents seven days a week.
“We publish a calendar every month,” she added, “that’s filled with interesting and entertaining events for our residents throughout the day as well as some evenings.”
