Oakland Avenue undergoing repairs
| 24 Jul 2012 | 08:44

On Tuesday, July 24, the New York State Department of Transportation began paving operations on Oakland Ave (State Routes 17A and Route 94). The work was performed from the railroad tracks south to approximately Third Street and was expected to take two days. Traffic was periodically halted to proceed in alternate directions and no parking was allowed on Oakland Avenue during operations. This work was a necessary repair to correct unsafe conditions, said Mayor Michael Newhard. We received late notice and we apologize for any inconvenience.
