Leaf pick-up begins Nov. 1
WARWICK — the Village of Warwick Public Works Department will begin picking up leaves on Thursday, Nov. 1, and continue until Monday, Dec. 31.
Village officials ask each homeowner or tenant to bag their leaves at the curb side. Residents participating in this program are required to use brown bio-degradable bags only.
Halloween curfew begins Tuesday night
WARWICK — The Town of Warwick will once again impose a Halloween curfew against congregating and loitering by those 18 years of age or younger to begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
Town warns of scam aimed at senior citizens
WARWICK — Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton is warning residents of a scam that’s aimed at senior citizens.
“Beware of any official looking letter from Albany offering to get you a copy of your property deed for a fee of $89,” Sweeton said in his weekly newsletter. “This is not a government solicitation. If you want a copy of your deed, our County Clerk’s office is happy to provide one at a nominal fee. You can reach the County Clerk’s office at 291-2690.”
