Museum Village honor ‘Icons of the Hudson Valley’ at its gala on Oct. 12

MONROE — Museum Village will recognize “Icons of the Hudson Valley” at its annual gala on Friday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Stagecoach Inn, 268 Main St., Goshen. Museum officials will recognize individuals in four categories:
Business & Entrepreneur Icon
Tony and Fran Cardone, Fran’s Hallmark
Prior to becoming Town of Monroe councilman and then supervisor, Tony Cardone served on the Monroe Joint Parks and Recreation Commission for 25 years and also held senior leadership positions in the following organizations: MW Pop Warner Football, Monroe-Woodbury Parents Football Club, The Michael J. Finnegan Scholarship Foundation and since 1994 for Make-A-Wish of the Hudson Valley, and has been active in other charitable organizations.
Fran Cardone has worked as an ICU Nurse since 1982 and has been instrumental in raising more than $400,000 for the Make A wish Foundation over 17 years (1995-2012).
Fran and Tony have been Monroe residents since 1969 and have three children, Joanna 28, Anthony 25, and Gina 21 ... and their dog Cocoa who is 10.

The evening also will feature a cocktail reception with music by E’Lissa Jones and a silent auction.
