Mount Peter opens new terrain for beginners

WARWICK — The Mount Peter Ski Area has opened a new terrain where first time lessons are conducted.
The expansion gives skiers and riders the opportunity to develop their skills on a spacious, out of the way wide-open slope, according to the press release announcing the new terrain.
The area is located off to the left of Sam’s Chair out of the way of all the hustle and bustle of the base.
Meanwhile, the ski area has announced a contest to name the new learning terrain.
People may enter by leaving their suggestion at customer service or by e-mail info@mtpeter.com. The deadline is Jan. 31. The winner will receive two lift tickets for the 2013 season. For additional information, call 845-986-4940.
