Mount Peter hosting blood drive

WARWICK — Mount Peter is sponsoring a New York Blood Center donor drive to help replenish blood supplies in the area. It will be held at the ski area on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the busmobile.
In return for the blood donation, donors will receive one mid-week lift ticket.
Local blood banks are low, especially this time of year. One out of three people will need blood in their lifetime. From natural disasters to unforeseen catastrophes, emergency hospital procedures to life-long battles with chronic diseases such as sickle cell, the demand for blood is constant. The supply is not. And since there is no substitute, only volunteer blood donors can roll up their sleeves and save lives.
For medical eligibility questions, call 1-800-933-2566. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring ID with photo or signature. Eat well and drink fluids before you donate. For more information about donating blood, visit mydonoradvantage.com or call 1-800-933-2566.
