A Warwick man was found dead inside a portable restroom at a Ridgewood, N.J., construction site on Monday. Ridgewood Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said the cause of the death is an “apparent overdose” and the man was not connected to the construction site.

7. A decade of success for Warwick's farmland and open space has been a success
In the late 1990s many residents and farmers were lukewarm about the idea and the expense of farmland preservation and quite a few were dead against it. Ten years after voters approved funding for the Warwick Purchase of Development Rights, more than 2,500 acres of Warwick farmland has been preserved and 21 farms preserved. It also resulted in other local improvements including the development of a Town beach at Greenwood Lake and the expansion of the town's agri-tourism economy.

ShopRite completed an 11,825-square-foot addition to its store at the corner of routes 94 and 21 in the Town of Warwick. The company said the Warwick expansion is part of a broad push to improve product delivery and modernize stores throughout the region.

5. Warwick teen arrested in Jewish cemetery vandalism case
More than a year after the Temple Beth Shalom cemetery in Warwick was decorated with anti-Semitic graffiti, an 18-year-old Warwick resident was arraigned Tuesday, Oct. 31, in Orange County Court on charges stemming from the investigation into the vandalism.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses open new world HQ in Sterling Forest
Jehovah's Witnesses opened the doors to their new state-of-the-art and eco-friendly world headquarters in Sterling Forest in April in an effort to allow local residents and those who contributed to its construction a chance to see the finished complex and learn more about their organization. The campus consists of seven buildings and a parking garage, all of which occupy 40 to 50 acres of a 253-acre property along Blue Lake. Four residence buildings house the 800 Witnesses that live and work at the headquarters offices.
