The Orange County Office for the Aging will host two drive-thru appreciation lunches for the many volunteers who help seniors throughout the year on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Day Camp parking lot at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery.

“I am grateful to the many individuals who help us every day to serve the needs of older adults in Orange County,” said Office for the Aging Director AnnMarie Maglione. “I am especially grateful to the many new and existing volunteers who stepped up during the pandemic to deliver meals. Volunteers like you genuinely change the world and your dedication is essential to the work that we do.”

Due to COVID and the need to socially distance, reservations are required and can be made by calling 845-615-3700. The picnics will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

When you call to make your reservation, you will be given a date and time to pick up your picnic lunch. This will keep everyone safe while keeping traffic volume under control. Please do not arrive prior to your scheduled timeslot.

In addition to a boxed lunch and swag bag, members of the Sheriff’s Office will be accepting unwanted and outdated prescription drugs and medications.
