MonEli Spa in Pine Island celebrates grand opening

PINE ISLAND — MonEli Spa, Suite 1 at 792 County Route 1 in Pine Island, is the story of two sisters who have bonded throughout the course of what they describe as a long journey.
On Saturday, June 23, pubic officials and members of the Pine Island Chamber joined owners Mona and Eli Foroutani, their relatives and friends for a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting.
Eli Foroutani, who works as a dental hygienist in Warwick, lives in Pine Island with her husband, Dr. Mohammed Ghobadian and their daughter Ava, a senior at Warwick Valley High School
Mona Foroutani, who moved to Pine Island with her mother, Monir Boushehri., has a background in jewelry and is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, perhaps one reason why the MonEli Spa slogan is, "Glow like a diamond."
However, she also graduated from the Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care & Makeup in New York City, earning a license as a medical esthetician.
While most estheticians work in salons and spas, medical estheticians are trained and licensed skin care specialists who often work in medical settings doing laser and light-based procedures.
MonEli Spa features European Esthetics techniques and offers Christine Valmy natural products along with services that include consultation, analysis and advice for skin care.
An extensive list of treatments range from a basic facials to the anti-aging Microcurrent Photofacial Therapy.
