Middletown Medical's Reich earns national speaker status

MIDDLETOWN — Middletown Medical has announced Dr. Jennifer Reich has been recognized as a pioneer in the area of Hereditary Cancer Risk Assessment and Genetic Testing by Myriad Genetics, which is considered the leading international Cancer Genetics Laboratory.

While Reich will continue to see new patients, this honor brings her the additional position of being the first internal medicine consultant on the topic of hereditary cancer. Her role will consist of physician education, patient advocacy and serving as a market advisor on behalf of patients with both Middletown Medical and Myriad Genetics.

“This is a monumental honor for Dr. Reich, and most well deserved for her tremendous efforts with this groundbreaking testing,” said Lori Marl, operations director. “We couldn't be more pleased than in having Dr. Reich overseeing our Hereditary Cancer Risk Testing program.”

Reich practices internal medicine in Middletown Medical's Middletown and Chester locations, and has long been a favorite of patients. In 2008 and 2010 to 2013, she won the Patient’s Choice Award, along with the Compassionate Doctor’s Award from 2010 to 2013.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida's College of Medicine, and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
