Middletown Medical adds family nurse practitioner

Middletown Medical has announced the addition of Gena Brower, F.N.P., as a family nurse practitioner in its Middletown location.

Brower comes to Middletown Medical with a wide range of experience in many different settings. She most recently was with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where she was a registered nurse in the Emergency Department, while also serving as a member of the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System Sepsis Task Force. During this time, she was also on rotations with various entities for adult and geriatric, women’s health and pediatrics.

“We’re delighted to have Gena on our team,” said Amanda Hansen, P.A., clinical director. “She’s a wonderful addition to our staff, and our patients will surely benefit from her tremendous experience and calm demeanor.”

Previously, Brower was an emergency room nurse with Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, as well as a Burn ICU Nursing Extern with Weill Cornell Hospital in New York.

A graduate of Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in Nursing, Brower went on to earn a master's of science in nursing from Pace University in New York.
