Luke Soto receives Beautiful People 2013 Golden Glove Award

WARWICK — Warwick teen Luke Soto was surprised with the Beautiful People 2013 Georgene Ladka Memorial Golden Glove Award at the organization’s fall dinner dance fund raiser.

Luke is one of nearly 200 Orange County children and young adults with special needs who participate in seasons baseball, soccer and basketball.

“Luke is in his 6th year with us; he usually plays first base, he fields well and is a strong hitter," said Peter Ladka, founder and chairman of BP. "He is also a walking directory of baseball stats.”

The award nominations come from the coaches. Ladkas mother Georgene died in 2010 and her memory is honored by this award as a strong BP supporter and frequent game day volunteer.
