Lucky moms win St. Stephen-St. Edward school reverse raffle

WARWICK — On Saturday evening, Nov. 4, ticket sales to the second annual reverse raffle totaled $28,500 and the grand prize was $7,125.
Each ticket cost $100 but no more than 300 could be sold and the purchase also included admission to an evening of food and drinks in the school gymnasium along with live musical entertainment.
The rules also permitted sharing the cost of the ticket and the winnings, which was good news for a group of first grade mothers who chipped in and had the winning ticket.
In addition to the ticket sales, an additional $6,500 was raised from a silent auction and other raffles making the total results of the fund raiser $35,000.
The proceeds will be used to help support the school and a heightened marketing campaign to attract new families.
