Little League in Florida celebrates 50th anniversary

Opening day ceremonies at the Little League complex at Round Hill Road last month marked 50 years of ball-playing in the Village of Florida. Half a century ago, four teams with 52 players took the field. Today, there are 18 teams and more than 200 players. Story and additional photos from the opening day ceremonies appear on page XX.
