WARWICK — The Parental Bereavement Group sponsored by St. Anthony Community Hospital will hold its annual candle-lighting service on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The ecumenical service begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Warwick United Methodist Church located at 135 Forester Avenue. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

The Parental Bereavement Group is a support group for anyone who has lost a child for any reason, such as an accident, illness, suicide, miscarriage or injury. Lighting a candle with other people who share the experience of loss recognizes the children who have died, or as the group says in its flyer announcing the service, “that their light may always shine.

The group meets every fourth Monday of the month from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Mount Alverno Center, 20 Grand St. in Warwick. For more information about the support or the service on Dec. 9, call 845-987-5293.
