WARWICK — The Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning (WFEL) is partnering with the Monroe Cinema, located at 34 Millpond Parkway, for its next fund raiser on Saturday Nov. 18, at 10:30 a.m.
The Warwick Valley School District will have a special and private screening of the movie “Wonder,” staring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay.
Tickets include a kids popcorn and are $10 each.
Tickets must be pre-purchased through a link off the WFEL web page www.wfelny.org or by printing off the ticket order form off our website and mailed in with payment to WFEL P.O. Box 807, Warwick NY. 10990.
Tickets will be picked up at “will call” at the theater, please arrive 20 minutes before show time. Students and parents are encouraged to wear Warwick Spirit wear.
“Wonder,” based on the best selling book by R.J Palacio, is being taught in classrooms around the country. It is the inspiring story of August Pullman, a fifth grader born with facial deformities as he is mainstreamed into a school for the first time. It is a story about kindness, acceptance, empathy, friendship and paying it forward.
In keeping with these themes, he founadtion will be accepting monetary donations for the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry, 135 Forester Ave.
