Lecture on the history of Warwick’s farms and farmlands set for July 26

WARWICK — Join the Warwick Historical Society on Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m. for a talk on Warwick's farms and farmlands from the Colonial Era to today.
The talk, given by Dr. Richard Hull, will be a survey of the dynamic and fascinating evolution of Warwick's rich agricultural heritage from the closing of the Native American period, through the colonial era and into the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
Hull will take us on a journey from the emergence and development of numerous types of farms and the factors (technological, cultural, environmental) that affected the community’s overall economic sustainability and health.
Hull is Warwick’s official historian, author of numerous books and articles on Warwick’s history, host of WTBQ’s weekly talk show "History Alive," professor emeritus of history at NYU and former board member of the Warwick Historical Society and Orange County Land Trust.
The talk will be held at the A.W. Buckbee Center at 2 Colonial Ave. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person, Warwick Historical Society members are free. Though reservations are not required, space is limited. You can reserve a space by calling 845-986-3236 ext. 101.
