LAX OUT CANCER Lacrosse Tournament
WARWICK — For her senior project, Warwick Valley High School senior Kayla Datys is raising funds to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
She will be hosting an event called LAX OUT CANCER at Warwick Town Park on Saturday, March 23.
She is reaching out to her own community and beyond for help. Kayla is motivated to make this event fun and inspirational in hopes of being able to fund St. Jude with a large donation.
Raising money, raising hopes, having fun“Even a donation of $1 is helpful per person who would like to just contribute," Kayla said.
Her idea comes from doing what she enjoys the most - playing lacrosse. This will be Kayla’s fourth year as a varsity player on her high school team. She would like to graduate Warwick Valley High School knowing her Senior project and the hard work that went into it made a difference for St. Jude research - Raising Money, Raising Hopes all while having some fun.
The event is open to all lacrosse players who want to get involved and play. Players can register as individuals or as teams.
The tournament is open to girls and boys who play at a high school level.
