WARWICK — Members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and other guests are in for a special treat.

Next Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., the Landmark Inn, 526 Route 94 North, will host a winter social for the Chamber featuring appetizers, a cash bar and fellowship inside the historic 236 year-old country inn surrounded by woodlands.

Those appetizers, by the way, will be specially prepared by Landmark Inn chef and owner Michael DiMartino, an honors graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

DiMartino, who has been in the restaurant industry for 33 years, has been featured in several top culinary magazines and on the Food Network's "In Food Today."

In addition to exchanging business cards and mingling with business professionals, guests may also enjoy the experience of visiting what originally was an 18th century stone farmhouse. .

The floorboards and beams in the bar area, for example, date back to its original founding in 1774.

And DiMartino, a history buff, has maintained many of the restaurant's historic features, like its famous ceilings created from the old doors of the Red Swan Inn.

And there are dining tables supported by foot-driven sewing machines, an old map of historic Paris and a showcase filled with antique cameras.

The Landmark Inn serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The award-winning restaurant also hosts private events and meetings, and offers off-premise catering.

Everyone is invited to join Chamber members for this wintertime social event.

General admission is $20. For members the cost is $10.
