Krystal Serrano announces candidacy for the 98th Assembly District

MONROE – Krystal Serrano, resident of the Town of Monroe, has announced her candidacy for the 98th Assembly District.
Serrano brings experience in small business development, job growth opportunities, concern for the health and welfare of the work force and family values.
According to the press release announcing her candidacy, Serrano "is a leader in building strong neighborhoods with health care education, foreclosure stabilization, and focusing help on other defined concerns by working with community leaders in the best interest of their residents such as homeowner taxation and environmental issues."
She opposes passing unfunded mandates onto local governments.
Serrano currently has working associations in government affairs/community outreach with members of the New York State Assembly and leaders on both sides of the aisle.
"She will be effective immediately as a member of the Democratic majority and as assemblywoman for the 98th Assembly District," the press release added
The 98th Assembly District encompasses the Towns of Deerpark, Greenville, Minisink, Monroe, Tuxedo, Warwick, the City of Port Jervis and the Town of Ramapo in Rockland County.
The seat became available when Annie Rabbitt resigned to become Orange County Clerk.
Two men are seeking the endorsements of the Republican, Conservative and Independent parties: Karl Brabenec, the supervisor of the Town of Deerpark; and Michael Morgillo of Monroe, a career New York City Police officer and union official for the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association.
