Kaliada Jewelry celebrates grand opening on Main Street

WARWICK — When Kally Padilla was diagnosed with breast cancer, she adopted the motto: "If I am going to fight this, I might as well fight it with a big smile on my face and wearing my favorite piece of jewelry."
After successfully battling breast cancer, she was faced with the question of whether she should return to her former career in business management or follow her heart by launching a business that would empower other women.
It turned out it wasn't much of a question at all, especially after she discovered her passion for jewelry design and creation.
In 2015 Padilla created the concept for Kaliada Boutique to be the perfect place she would like to shop, inspired by her love for unique accessories, beautiful details and elegant style.
And to further her mission of empowering women, she decided to open a store where she could personally connect with women and support women-owned businesses.
On Friday, Oct. 19, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Kally Padilla, her husband Rey, son Saul and daughter Daniella to celebrate the grand opening of Kaliada Jewelry at 25 Main St. in the Village of Warwick.
Kaliada Boutique is an extension of her online jewelry store.
It features the Kaliada versatile jewelry collection and a curated selection of accessories and sustainable specialty gifts sourced from women-owned small businesses that share the brand's values.
Kaliada jewelry has been featured in local magazines, national TV and in several stores, including national retailer William Sonoma-West Elm in Scarsdale.
