WARWICK — Jubilate, the Hudson Valley’s community youth choir, sent nine of its treble members to participate in Sing A Mile High International Children’s Choral Festival from June 27 through July 1.

This event provided these young women the opportunity to gather for five days of collaboration and camaraderie, to learn from outstanding composers and clinicians and to sing at the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.

The group was accompanied by choir directors David Crone and Steven Wing, manager Emily Thompson and steering committee member Jody Weatherstone.

This educational experience was made possible through choir fund-raising and grants.

Jubilate (pronounced yoo-bih-LAH-tey), members hail from Blooming Grove, Central Valley, Chester, Florida, Goshen, Hewitt, N.J., Highland Mills, Monroe, Pine Island, Sugar Loaf, Tuxedo Park and Warwick.

The choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, area houses of worship, community events and charity fund raisers; and with the Classic Choral Society and Greater New York Wind Symphony.
