WARWICK — Licensed Massage Therapist Jennifer Powers, who just opened her studio at 28 Railroad Ave., Suite 2D in the Village of Warwick, asks: "Are you prioritizing everything other than your health?"
On May 8, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce President John Redman and Chamber Executive Director Michael Johndrow joined Powers for a grand opening ceremony with a ribbon-cutting.
Powers, who graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and was attuned by Reiki Master Brett Bevell, is also a Certified Health Coach and Level two Reiki practitioner.
Powers explained that she evaluates her client's needs and develops a holistic health plan that allows them to live a more active and inspired life.
"Without our health," she said, "we cannot feel well and perform well, which then affects all of our relationships and lifestyle decisions."
Powers said that her extensive work experience in a chiropractic office, wellness center, and five-star luxury spa has created an integrative approach to body work by blending numerous modalities in a long list ranging from Swedish, Deep Tissue to Shiatsu, Energy Palpation, Reflexology, and Sports Massage.
And aside from her private practice you will find her doing chair massage at many local events, teaching couples massage classes, and leading health-coaching groups.
Powers works by appointment only.
