Village of Warwick begins hydrant flushing on Monday, Sept. 17WARWICK — The Village of Warwick will be flushing fire hydrants starting Monday, Sept. 17, from approximately 7 p.m. until midnight.
This will be done every evening until all the fire hydrants are completed. This is done during the evening to cause as little inconvenience as possible for the village residents.
"The water may be discolored but will clear up and is not harmful," Chris Bennett, Distribution Supervisor for the Village of Warwick, said in the press release announcing the flushing. "You may also experience some pressure problems while the fire hydrants are being flushed in your area."
Village Planning Board hosts Village View public hearing on Sept. 20WARWICK — The Village of Warwick Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Sept. 20, on Village View, a proposed cluster housing subdivision to be located off Woodside Drive, Locust Street and Sleepy Valley Roads.
The hearing will be held at Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
County hosts household hazardous waste collection on Sept. 22NEW HAMPTON — The next household hazardous waste collection event for residents is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Orange County Fire Training Center located at 9 Training Center Lane in New Hampton.
No registration is required. Proof of Orange County residency is required.
There is no cost to residents.

Public hearing on proposed cell tower at corporate park held open until Sept. 27 WARWICK — The public hearing for a proposed cell tower location at Warwick Valley Office and Technology Corporate Park will be held open until Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7:15 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall.
Town completes annual separate storm sewer reportWARWICK — The Town of Warwick has completed its annual Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS-4) report for the period March 10, 2017, to March 9, 2018.
This is a requirement of the state Department of Environmental Conservation for towns containing water bodies whose health could be affected by illicit discharges.
