Hill-N-Dale acquires Hardenburgh Abstract Company

GOSHEN — John M. Wood, president of Hill-N-Dale Abstracters, Inc. headquartered in Goshen, announced this week the acquisition of Hardenburgh Abstract Company from Provident Bank effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Founded in 1969, Hardenburgh Abstract Company is a privately held business. It will continue to operate as a separate entity under its new name, Hardenburgh Title Agency. It will remain under the direction of its longtime president, James V. Rinaldi of Campbell Hall, at its current location at 12 Scotchtown Ave. Both companies have operated since the mid 20th century. Together, they have provided the region with over 100 years of exemplary service.
The purchase, which closely follows the acquisition of Horizon Title Services Corporation in July of 2011, positions Hill-N-Dale Abstracters as the largest title company serving the Hudson Valley region. Wood believes the company’s adherence to core values of honesty and integrity is largely responsible for its continued growth and expansion.
“We will now hold the files of approximately 85 to 90 percent of all properties in the region,” said Wood. “With so many files readily available, the process of securing title insurance will be expedited for the vast majority of commercial and residential real estate owners in our immediate four-county area — Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Dutchess — and beyond.”
Hill-N-Dale Abstracters, Inc., located at 20 Scotchtown Ave., in Goshen, provides clients throughout the mid-Hudson region with title insurance for commercial as well as residential properties.
