— As long time residents, Warwick is where the McKenna family longed to open their lifelong dream of a good old-fashioned deli and when the storefront became available, they jumped at the chance and opened Henry's Deli & Café, named after their son.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined co-owners Karen and Philip McKenna, their family, friends and staff for the grand opening of their new business.

Henry's Deli & Café is located at 583 Route 94 North in the Flowick Shopping Center mid-way between the villages of Warwick and Florida. But the deli looks and cooks like more of a bistro-style restaurant.

Serving both breakfast and lunch, Henry's is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For breakfast, you may want to try omelets, pancakes, waffles or French toast.

The extensive lunch menu ranges from classic deli sandwiches to an array of unique signature sandwiches, breaded chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers along with turkey, Granny Smith apples, and cranberry chutney. Every signature sandwich comes with a side of macaroni salad, potato salad or coleslaw. Henry's also serves up hot dogs, cheeseburgers, hot wings, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, grilled cheese and other comfort food favorites, as well as fresh homemade salads or wraps for lighter fare.

There is also a special catering menu for those special occasions that boasts hot and cold items as well as three to six foot super subs.

"Henry's Deli," said Philip McKenna, "is an ideal place to get your coffee, espresso or cappuccino and breakfast sandwich, buy cold cuts or salads, pick up your Lottery tickets and also to get something to eat in or take out from our classic deli and catering menu. You can also count on a delicious selection of daily specials or just stop by and have a beer."

Patrons can also check those daily specials and order online. Visit www.henrysdeliandcafe.com or call 986-8800.
