Hail Mary, Queen of May
| 23 May 2013 | 12:12

May crowning is a Roman Catholic tradition that occurs in the month of May of every year. This year on May 16, members of the Church of St. Stephen, the First Martyr Sodality invited all parishioners to join them in honoring Mary, the Mother of the Holy Rosary. Leonel Wolfe, 7, a St. Stephen's First Communicant, placed a floral crown on the statue of Mary. The St. Stephen Sodality was chartered October 14, 1962 with 24 members. Two original charter members are Rosalie Rodiquenzi and Johanna Pennings. The Sodality has assisted St. Stephen's Parish with its good works for 51 years.
