G's restaurant reopens

WARWICK — G's Restaurant, 32-34 Main Street, celebrated a grand reopening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 1.
Owners Glen and Joann Kim and their staff, who were on hand to welcome some familiar faces as well as some new ones, were joined by Town of Warwick Supervisor and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce.
For the past few weeks some local residents may have been wondering or hearing some chatter around town that their local breakfast spot or nightly watering hole would no longer be open or would be under new management.
But the truth was the owners had been busy in the last few weeks refinishing floors, painting walls and fully restocking the bar while putting the finishing touches for a whole new look.
"There have been quite a few changes," said Glen Kim, "but without coming in to see them with your own eyes, G's Restaurant is hardly recognizable. And while still in the process of installing some new booths and tables to our dining area and bar we are in full operation and anticipating another great year."
The newly remodeled, fully stocked bar at G's offers a warm, friendly, relaxing atmosphere for either dinner or just that casual drink with friends. It's also known as a great place to watch your favorite sports team on one of three newly installed TV's.
In the winter, patrons will be able to cozy up by a warm fireplace and in summer, see the fireplace transform into a pre lit cascading waterfall.
"Our dining area still offers you great food at a reasonable price with a super friendly environment," said Kim.
G's Restaurant had already been a favorite Warwick eatery for 30 years when it moved up the block and reopened in January 1998, at its current location on the corner of Main and Bank streets.
In 2008 Glenn and Jo Ann Kim opened the doors to G's as the restaurant's new owners.
Running a restaurant was not a new experience. Glenn Kim was an experienced chef and the couple had owned and operated a busy salad bar in Manhattan for the previous 12 years
"We invite you to stop by to see all of our new changes," said Kim. "And thank you to all for your patience during our renovations and for all of your patronage and support."
