GREENWOOD LAKE — In what one village resident said was the largest turnout in his memory, Greenwood Lake welcomed the holiday season with a tree lighting, a festival featuring more than 30 vendors and a Menorah lighting.
Many groups and organizations contributed. For instance:
Members of the Bruderhof community provided horse-drawn wagon rides throughout the community.
Performers included dancers from the Sheahan Gormley School of Irish Dance, singing by scouts as well as the voices of the Warwick Valley High School Select Unit Choir sang.
Mayor Jesse Dwyer welcomed everyone. He also offered thanks to the members of the Department of Works for their efforts in preparation for the festival - and for the clean up that would follow.
