Greenwood Lake Paddleboards celebrates grand opening at new marina

HEWITT, N.J. — On Thursday, June 12, members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and the manager of the Sportman's Marina joined owners Chaz Corallo and Theresa Sparkes for the grand reopening of Greenwood Lake Paddleboards at its new location.

Now, in the second season of operation, Greenwood Lake Paddleboards has opened a new lakefront launching location and storefront at Sportsman's Marina, 325 Lakeside Road in Hewitt, N.J.

The company, originally based at Willow Point Marina in Greenwood Lake, moved just across the state line for a space more suited to its needs.

They now have a full store complete with accessories and the company offers purchasing, sales and repairs.

Greenwood Lake Paddleboards has also expanded to include a new fleet of single and tandem kayak rentals in addition to paddleboards.

"We're happy to be able to offer more variety to our customers," said Sparkes. "And we offer group and private paddleboard lessons by appointment, which is great for parties and family outings."

In addition Greenwood Lake Paddleboards offers paddleboard yoga classes on Wednesday mornings, Saturdays at sunset and Sunday mornings. Classes, conducted by a certified instructor, are for all levels.

Greenwood Lake Paddleboards is open Tuesday through Sunday and on Mondays by appointment.

Weekday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends they are open until sunset, depending on reservations.

Greenwood Lake Paddleboards also has 24 and 48-hour rental rates. Or, they suggest that you take along some kayaks for a day exploring another local lake or waterway.

"If you want to get out on the lake at a time we're not open, just give us a call and we'll accommodate you," said Sparkes. "And don't forget we deliver. A few paddleboards or kayaks are a great addition to a lakefront party."
