Greenwood Lake. Hats off for American Legion's Kentucky Derby party

On Saturday, May 8, the Greenwood Lake American League Post 1443 held its annual Kentucky Derby Party and Hats Fashion Contest. The cost of admission: a covered dish of food. Pictured from left to right are: Katherine Holder, the second-place ($50 prize) winner with her red, white and blue covered hat; Post 1443's Tom Mulcahy, who made the presentation; and first-place winner ($100 prize) Erin Murphy, whose hat was themed after Star Wars the movie franchise with space ships and action figures. She also brought two lightsabers.
