Grace Lutheran Church celebrates Boy Scouts

GREENWOOD LAKE — A special Boy Scout Sunday service was held at Grace Lutheran Church in Greenwood Lake on Feb. 7.

The service was hosted by Cub Scout Pack 121 which is chartered by the Church.

Scouts from the Pack assisted with the service by singing patriotic songs and helping with the offertory procession.

Webelos Scouts conducted the weekly bible readings, Gospel and Psalms.

The service was well attended by Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews from the area and family members.

Parents of the Scouts hosted coffee and refreshments after the service. The service was presided over by Pastor Jack Traugott and Deacon Scott Santarpia.

Scout Sunday services are held by many scouting organizations on the Sunday proceeding Feb. 8 to honor the founding of the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA was founded on Feb. 8, 1910.
